Trialink: Design Solution
The solution – not only investing in new technology and improve the efficiency of manufacturing, but to transform the operation and growth of current processes.
A few key device trends have also commenced in the healthcare, construction and business industry. They are all moving forward with the integration of technology more specifically, virtual reality. This smart digital tool is now advanced for training, recruitment and design procedures within these fields.
The style board consists of various architectural models created with the use of robotic arm technology. The intricacy of each image is inspired as the application designed aims to achieve the same level of comlexity.
The colour palette and style guide is also suggested in this style board. As the imagery inspired the intial making and stylising of Trialink.
Design Direction
The solution: Trialink. An VR/XR plugin for the Grasshopper and Rhino software that is compatible with robotic arm technology.
Trialink consists of a VR headset and smart gloves, where the user is enabled to adjust and manipulate the current models and base designs. Trialink can then communicate these commandments to Grasshopper and Rhino for a more efficient outcome giving the user more flexibility prior to submission.
Final Renders
Final Renders
The Trialink app is directed towards a laser cutting output with the robotic arm. The aim specifically, to allow architects and designers the opportunity to experiment with their base designs to an advanced degree in the early stages.
When using the smart gloves, the user is enabled to view their hands through the headset, Not only tracking their movements but able to capture the precise actions towards their model. With the possibility of finger tracking, the smart glove can simulate a full motion. This action is then feedbacked to Grasshopper to action the adjustment.
